Such is life, Trivalve as a performing band is a thing of the past. We have played our final gig (man, was it was a good one!), and we look forward to the next iteration of this instrumental surf project. Many thanks to Dan Stevenson for years of his high powered and inspired drumming, it’s been a pleasure playing with you. Trivalve’s music will live on both on disc and in concert, the where and when have yet to be determined. The Trivalve website and Facebook presence will continue indefinitely, we will make updates in both locations to notify our fans of any news. If you’re not on the email list, please drop a line to be notified of upcoming gigs or CD release news.
Enjoy, and support the thriving instrumental surf community!
Far enough from the water to keeps circuits dry, yet close enough to take in the splendor of the Pacific, Trivalve emerges from a secluded headquarters in the wooded foothills of Oakland with a mix of instrumental surf tunes that draw from diverse influences: fab four, bebop, kung fu, cold war, italian pop, and Ludwig acrylics, to name a few. Performing in the greater Bay Area since 2009, DAN STEVENSON provides a thundering backbeat on drums, held tight and fat with ROCKY LABER on bass, while GENE TUCCI adds reverb-soaked embellishment to round out a distinctively Californian modern-retro sound.
